2007 / NOVEMBER / PINCH

With releases on his own Tectonic label and the legendary Planet Mu, PINCH marks his first visit down under on the back of his long anticipated album Underwater Dancehall which coincidently drops on November 2nd on his own Tectonic imprint.

Bristol based DJ Pinch builds his Dubstep sets with precision timing and choice selection to work a crowd up from deep meditation vibes to a full on skank mode, soaking up influences that span dub, techno, jungle, 2-step and beyond. He is known for bringing the Dubstep sound to Bristol, hosting the first regular, now legendary parties, outside of London (Context, Subloaded, Dubloaded), the excellent "Qawwali" and "Punisher" singles on PLANET MU, as well as running the highly respected Tectonic imprint on which he is set to release his debut album later this year.

Pinch has played all across Europe, USA and of course in the UK, stirring up the dancefloor at London's bench weight Dubstep night, DMZ, as well as frequenting a variety of events in Bristol, earning him "South West's Best DJ 2006" in Venue magazine and a guest DJ spot recently on BBC Radio One's Breezeblock show. To fill in the few remaining gaps, Pinch has remixed for profile artists such as Simian Mobile Disco and also runs "Earwax" the sister imprint to Tectonic sporting heavy duty fuel for the dancefloor.

Local Dubstep producer MOVING NINJA shot to fame after releases on DJ PINCH's foundation label Tectonic and this event sees his final Australian performance before moving to UK to mix it with the big boys.
